What I have been up to...

The past month has been so incredibly busy, I feel like I have hardly had time to breath sometimes!  I have done a bunch of custom design things, and my etsy shop got busier than it has been since January!  Add to my things, my husband is a high school teacher, track coach, and a senior class adviser, and HIS schedule (and mine by default) has been so full.  Next week, we are off on a cruise though, so relaxing in the sun, here I come!

(my mom will be at my home, playing with and loving my girls and tending my etsy shop, so you can still order!  If it is a custom item, or a question though, I will respond after June 2.)

I will also be having a giveaway when I get home, so be watching for that.

Here are some of the projects I have been working on:
Our friends started a snoball shack in Hurricane, Utah - check them out if you are in the area!  or here on facebook:  www.facebook.com/kokomosnoballs

logo button for a blog

Graduation announcements and photoshoots for beautiful girls

Three versions of a baptism invitation so she had lots to choose from!  (FYI, the photos on this announcement were taken by the mom of the darling girl, not me.  Also, her name, and all the addresses are not the real ones)
A swag bag project for a photography workshop at http://akstudiodesign.com/

The logo on this flyer was a collaborative effort with a few people, but I ended up doing the finishing touches on it and putting together the flyer and a couple other things for the retreat.

Coupon specials for my sister Susan (if you are in northern Utah, you should definitely check her out!)

Bridal shower invites.  What a fun time of year!
Tyrel, my husband, is the track coach at our high school.  He had me design certificates for the awards assembly for his athletes.  This is one of them, but they were all pretty similar. :)

My friend Jackie has a wonderful family of three boys.  Their youngest, Mathis, has a genetic condition and won't stay on this earth for very long.  I designed a header for their blog (http://sharingourpieceofheaven.blogspot.com/) and facebook (https://www.facebook.com/sharingourpieceofheaven).  You will definitely want to check their blog out!

I love my "job"!  Send me a message if you are interested in having me design something for you!  kmc.love@gmail.com

Gretchen Senior Pictures

I got to photograph my very beautiful cousin, Gretchen, this weekend.  It is SO hard to believe that she is this grown up and graduating from high school.  She is so incredibly poised, elegant, lovely, fun, and energetic, and it all comes through in her photos.  We took some at dusk, and then we woke up oh-so-early the next morning to get some at sunrise and in the early morning light.

I just love this girl - I can't wait to finish editing pictures and share some more of her!

More Senior Pictures - Melinda

When I took Melinda's first shoot of senior pictures, it was a FREEZING cold February day in Cedar City. We were just hurrying to get something that could go in the yearbook. We got some great shots (she is so gorgeous and naturally photogenic, it was easy!) but we didn't get to do any in her formal dress or in another outfit. We did a second round of pictures - this time on a MUCH warmer day in the end of March, in sunny Saint George. It was so fun and we found some really great places.

I can't post her graduation announcement yet, but it is SO cute!

Enjoy!

Isn't this one of the prettiest formals you have ever seen?  I wish they had had ones like this when I was in high school!

Lydia and Maddie were great helps for keeping Melinda smiling naturally by bringing her "presents."

Melinda and my mother-in-law Kris - this is one of my favorite pictures from the whole evening.

believe it or not - the sun had been completely down for a while and we were heading quickly into dark, but we got a few last shots in the middle of the pavement - I love how her eyes pop and match the color of her sweater.

Just in time for Mother's Day!

I just put a new print up for sale in my etsy shop.  (mom and mom-in-law - sorry to ruin a mother's day surprise. :) )

When I turned 8 years old, my parents gave me my first journal.  It was white, but the best part was the bright pink fabric cover with a snap on it that my mom sewed for me.  I still have and treasure that journal.  Being only 8 years old, I had so much I wanted to write, but wasn't experienced enough to get it all down how I wanted.  The first few pages of my journal are filled with my mom's handwriting, some of the things she wrote are what I dictated to her.  Others parts are her own words.  This quote (an Irish proverb, according to my research now) is one of the things she wrote in it.  I treasure these words, even more now that I am a mom of two wonderful daughters.

This would be perfect for framing and gifting for any occasion!  It is available as a 5x7 print and a 4x6 print.  Please enjoy!

(I will also have this available on a wooden block, embellished with ribbon.  As soon as I have one ready to photograph, I will update!)
