I apologize for missing June!  We are moving to Wyoming in a couple of weeks, and we spent part of the month in Wyoming looking for a home.  Then we had a wedding, then we started packing, and before I knew it, the entire month was gone!

Cross your fingers for me to get one done in a timely manner for August!  That is going to be a crazy unpacking time!

And for those wondering, fonts and graphics used are:
Bonjour
Boho  (I used the Sans font to write Pres. Uchtdorf)
Floral graphics from Create the Cut

May 2015 Visiting Teaching Printables & Conference quotes

Wow - what a crazy busy spring it has been!  I feel like I blinked and it is May and nearly the end of the school year.  I had a bunch of my favorite quotes from conference picked out and ready to put into some printable designs, and I didn't even have 2 minutes to work on them.  Then, last Sunday, I spend a couple of hours working on them, and didn't have time again to post them!

Today is the day and better late than never, right?  Am I the only who feels like things get so crazy this time of year??  I don't know what I would do if I had more kids or older kids who were involved in more!  I guess I will grow into it in a few years!

These are all 4x6 in size, and can just be right clicked and saved and printed.  I hope that you love some of these quotes too.  As I designed them, I re-read the talks they came from.  I LOVE General Conference and the way so many talks seemed meant just for me. :)

The full text of all the talks can be found at LDS.org.

Fonts! Inexpensive and fun!

Last time I did a font round-up, I did some of the new FREE fonts that had been released.  This time, I decided to do some of the fonts I love that I have purchased recently.  At the time I did this blog post, they are all $20 or under.

There are so many fonts available for free out there, but you need to make sure you are following the terms and conditions set by the font designer.  Often, they allow free use for a personal project, but ask you to pay for commercial use.  It can be tricky to make sure I follow the guidelines set.

Soooo, I end up buying a lot of fonts that come with a commercial license, then I am covered whether I am using the font in a personal project or using it in a project that will be for sale in my etsy shop.  (Always make sure to read the terms of service, because sometimes it is still a limited use commercial license!)

This round-up are some of the fonts I have purchased that I consider to be really reasonably priced!  (I have been known to spend a lot of $$ on fonts, but since most people don't want to pay that much, I tried to keep this list to what I consider cheap!)

Enjoy!  The links to each font are under the graphic. :)

PS = I love LOVE Creative Market, and I get their weekly newsletter than has SIX free things each week!  These are items that are normally for sale on their site, but for one week, they are included in the FREE downloads.  I don't think I have ever downloaded all six items, and lots of weeks, I don't download any of them.  There are usually things I don't think I will use, or don't care for, but they have some really fun fonts on there often!  Check it out!  I think 3 of the above fonts were ones that were offered as one of the weekly free downloads at one time!

PPS = A lot of people have asked me what the font is that I used in the March Visiting Teaching Handout - it is Manhattan Darling. :)

PPPS = I signed up as a partner with Creative Market and I get a VERY small percentage of purchases made through the above links.  I would love it if you want to support my font-buying addiction by signing up and purchasing through my links. :)

March 2015 Visiting Teaching Printable

I get so much out of the Visiting Teaching message (link to full message here) when I am studying it and trying to decide how to design a printable.  I love thinking about what words to emphasize, the feeling I want it to have, and how to make it beautiful.

I especially loved the wonderful quote from President Uchtdorf about patience and some of the Christ-like attributes he described.

Thanks for sharing this!  (link to 2-to-a-page here)

February 2015 Visiting Teaching Handout

This month, the Visiting Teaching message is about The Attributes of Jesus Christ: Without Sin.  (this link will take you to the full message on LDS.org)

The main part that stood out to me was the quote from Elder Christofferson about how our Savior, Jesus Christ, UNDERSTANDS.  He knows us, He understands our deepest struggles, and also our daily struggles that may not be so big.  He LOVES us, and because of His sacrifice and Atonement, he can help us WIN the struggle.

I have such a deep and tender love for my elder brother, Jesus Christ, and I know that He is there to help us through these things.  I have felt His love and peace in my life.  Sometimes (often) I forget to turn to Him, but when I finally do, I feel His understanding.

The past month in Primary at church, we have been learning the song "I Know That My Savior Loves Me."  The words to it run through my head often, and I DO know that my Savior loves me - and He loves YOU!

Click here for a 3-to-a-page version that is perfect for printing and using while you go visiting teaching!  For a 4x6 that will print as a photo, right click the image above and save, then print.

Happy Visiting Teaching!  Thanks for sharing, pinning, and enjoying. :)

Some new GREAT fonts!

I was looking up a font for a project I am working on, and noticed that there are some really GREAT new fonts available!  Most of the fonts I have listed below have only been available for a month or two.  And for free!

I often have people wondering what font I used in projects, and usually, the answer is a font that I purchased.  However, most people who ask me aren't selling things that they use the fonts for, and don't want to purchase the awesome fonts that lots of designers use.  These are some beautiful and fun and FREE options you can use!  I LOVE these, and will be contacting the designers on a few of them to get commercial rights to use them.

*** These are all ONLY free for personal use.  If you are going to use them in a commercial way, please do the right thing and purchase the font or donate to the creator! (depending on their terms of service :) )

Enjoy creating beautiful things!

PS - I want to start making a font round-up a regular thing on my blog, so keep checking back for the next one!

Other Designs

I am constantly working on design projects for people - below are some of the ones I did last year.

Bookmarks:

My brother just returned home from serving an LDS mission - I designed this as a large poster that my family had at the airport.

My dad teaches 3rd grade - this year he has a jungle theme in his room.  These posters are hanging in his classroom.

A custom design that will be up in my shop soon.

A custom designed family mission statement.

My cute cousin is serving a mission in Texas - I designed this for her blog:

Missionary stationary

A handout that a Stake Relief Society is passing out in Ward Conference this year:

A custom quote design (will be up in my shop soon):

Business cards - I designed a new logo and made all the social media headers, icons, etc for this cute business

Evolution of a new logo for a cousin's photography business.  We started out thinking she wanted something on the first proof board, then evolved to the designs on the second proof board.  The final product is the dark wood circle.

A company that I did a lot of ad design for.  There are too many ads inside that I did, so I am just sharing one of my favorite projects I did - this cover:

A cute Relief Society lesson handout for a sweet lady in my ward.
My friend Carrie teaches Dance Fit in our community - this flyer is one of the things I did for her last summer.

I love doing custom designs and working with you to get exactly what you need and want!  Let's get working on something soon!
