Some new GREAT fonts!

I was looking up a font for a project I am working on, and noticed that there are some really GREAT new fonts available!  Most of the fonts I have listed below have only been available for a month or two.  And for free!

I often have people wondering what font I used in projects, and usually, the answer is a font that I purchased.  However, most people who ask me aren't selling things that they use the fonts for, and don't want to purchase the awesome fonts that lots of designers use.  These are some beautiful and fun and FREE options you can use!  I LOVE these, and will be contacting the designers on a few of them to get commercial rights to use them.

*** These are all ONLY free for personal use.  If you are going to use them in a commercial way, please do the right thing and purchase the font or donate to the creator! (depending on their terms of service :) )

Enjoy creating beautiful things!

PS - I want to start making a font round-up a regular thing on my blog, so keep checking back for the next one!

  1. Hi, I love your site and all of your designs. I was wondering if you have the links for the other fonts- dynamic, exquisite, sparkling, etc... Thanks!

    1. Hi Melissa! Thanks for your comment! The fonts are all linked at the bottom of the post! The words that I used to display each font are just words I made up, instead of typing the name of the font in each respective font. The small words in all caps underneath each large display word is the name of the font. I hope that makes sense!

    2. Ha Ha! I see it now. :) Thank you so much! The font that you used for the name of each one, which font is that? Thank you!

    3. That font is called Amatic - http://www.fontsquirrel.com/fonts/amatic

It is my favorite "handwriting" font that I have found! And it is free too!

    4. Awesome! Thank you so much! I love these fonts! When you usually donate, or pay for the font, how much is it? Sorry for all the questions! :)

    5. I have emailed the designers before to ask, but often when they just ask for a donation, depending on what I am going to use it on, I do between $5 and $15. Most fonts that I purchase (that don't have a free commercial use option) are between those amounts. Some are much more expensive though! I don't even want to think about how much $$ I spend on fonts haha! :)

and I don't mind the questions at all! Keep them coming and I will try to help!

    6. I should add that fonts that you download from free from fontsquirrel (where the amatic font is) are free to use for commercial use. :) It is always a good place to find fonts to use!

  3. Thank you so much for sharing your finds! I love these! I do have a question though, how do I get the letters in the script fonts to connect? I am using them in word and elements and cannot get them to connect. Do you have any tips? Thank you!

    1. Hey Amy! Thanks for your commentI rarely use word, so I had to go see what I could figure out. I found that after I typed it in, then I highlighted the block of text, then right-clicked and selected "font," then I went into the "Character Spacing" tab. On "Spacing," I selected "condensed" and just changed the spacing number until they connected how I wanted them too. It might take a little bit of playing around until you get it, but it will help!

I am not familiar with Elements, but if it is like Photoshop CS6 (what I use), there is a place on the type "character panel" to adjust the tracking (spacing of letters). On mine, it looks like a VA with an arrow running horizontally under it. The fonts work perfectly for me in photoshop set at 0, so check to make sure your tracking (spacing) is set to 0 in your program.

      Good luck!

  10. Hello! Just wondering how to make the first and last letters longer with the 'in screaming colour' font? I like the look of the letters leading in and out like a line. Thank you!

    1. Hi there! The smaller font under each word tells the actual name of the font. The "sparkling" one is called Sweet Pea and the link is: http://www.dafont.com/sweet-pea.font

The clickable links to all of them are right under the image!

      Thanks!

  20. I would love to know the fonts you've used on your website. I've looked around, but I haven't seen them mentioned. Specially, the fonts used in the No Comments/Post a Comment/# Comments. Your blog is simply beautiful.
