Gretchen Senior Pictures

I got to photograph my very beautiful cousin, Gretchen, this weekend.  It is SO hard to believe that she is this grown up and graduating from high school.  She is so incredibly poised, elegant, lovely, fun, and energetic, and it all comes through in her photos.  We took some at dusk, and then we woke up oh-so-early the next morning to get some at sunrise and in the early morning light.

I just love this girl - I can't wait to finish editing pictures and share some more of her!

More Senior Pictures - Melinda

When I took Melinda's first shoot of senior pictures, it was a FREEZING cold February day in Cedar City. We were just hurrying to get something that could go in the yearbook. We got some great shots (she is so gorgeous and naturally photogenic, it was easy!) but we didn't get to do any in her formal dress or in another outfit. We did a second round of pictures - this time on a MUCH warmer day in the end of March, in sunny Saint George. It was so fun and we found some really great places.

I can't post her graduation announcement yet, but it is SO cute!

Enjoy!

Isn't this one of the prettiest formals you have ever seen?  I wish they had had ones like this when I was in high school!

Lydia and Maddie were great helps for keeping Melinda smiling naturally by bringing her "presents."

Melinda and my mother-in-law Kris - this is one of my favorite pictures from the whole evening.

believe it or not - the sun had been completely down for a while and we were heading quickly into dark, but we got a few last shots in the middle of the pavement - I love how her eyes pop and match the color of her sweater.

Just in time for Mother's Day!

I just put a new print up for sale in my etsy shop.  (mom and mom-in-law - sorry to ruin a mother's day surprise. :) )

When I turned 8 years old, my parents gave me my first journal.  It was white, but the best part was the bright pink fabric cover with a snap on it that my mom sewed for me.  I still have and treasure that journal.  Being only 8 years old, I had so much I wanted to write, but wasn't experienced enough to get it all down how I wanted.  The first few pages of my journal are filled with my mom's handwriting, some of the things she wrote are what I dictated to her.  Others parts are her own words.  This quote (an Irish proverb, according to my research now) is one of the things she wrote in it.  I treasure these words, even more now that I am a mom of two wonderful daughters.

This would be perfect for framing and gifting for any occasion!  It is available as a 5x7 print and a 4x6 print.  Please enjoy!

(I will also have this available on a wooden block, embellished with ribbon.  As soon as I have one ready to photograph, I will update!)

General Conference April 2013 Printables

*** In May, the Visiting Teaching message is to share one of your favorite conference talks.  Feel free to print a quote from here or my 2nd post to share with the ladies you visit. :)  If you have a favorite quote, that I haven't done, feel free to email me:  kmc.love@gmail.com and I will see if I can whip one up for you (completely free of course!) ***

General Conference is one of my favorite times of year.  I love listening to the words of our prophet, and the leaders of  The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  I come away so uplifted and with a desire to be a better person, a happier wife, a more patient mom.  The past few years, I have loved collecting beautiful designs of quotes said during conference.  They help ingrain the message in my mind and remind me long past the closing words what I learned and how I felt.

This post is where I will post free printables of some of my favorite quotes.  Keep checking back, because I am a busy mom and I can't do more than a couple a day!  I started a second post with more, HERE

(unless I indicate differently, each one is sized at 8x10, and there is a link to my 4shared account where you can download the full resolution version, suitable for printing at a print shop or from your home printer.)

Thanks for pinning, sharing, and enjoying!

Track T-shirt

Tyrel is the track coach here at our high school, and I got to design a t-shirt for the team.  The final colors are not quite decided yet, but this is the design.  I love it!  It was really fun to design.

The desire to create

I am so excited to have just finished this new design.
It is a custom request from my etsy shop, and will be available in there in a couple of weeks for purchasing.
She is going to pair it with this one in her craft room which she shares with her little daughter.  They will each have one on their desk.  Cute huh!(This one is available currently in my etsy shop)
