I am doing the sharing times in Primary in the month of September. The theme for the month is "I will serve God with all my heart, might, mind, and strength."
Each week has a different theme to focus on. I wanted to share a couple of handouts and ideas I am doing here.
First, the overarching theme I am doing this month is centering around the primary children doing acts of service. I made a big poster with a pair of hands on it, and a picture of Christ, with a banner that says "We are HIS hands." I made some little tags that I will invite the children to write or draw (while we are waiting for all the classes to come in, and then for a couple of minutes of sharing time) acts of service they performed during the week. They can then tape the slips of paper on our big poster. Each week, I will give them a challenge of a kind of service to do during the week that can be their inspiration if they need it.
Week 1: I am basically following the outline given in the 2013 Outline, but will show a short clip of President Uchtdorf's talk, "You are My Hands." Then I will introduce the poster I just described above. For the weekly challenge, I found this great idea for secret service on http://beanburritonoonions.blogspot.com/2013/08/sharing-time-jesus-christ-taught-me-how.html. I made a handout for it.
Feel free to download (right click, save to your computer, and then print should do it) and use for any secret service you are doing - Primary, Activity days, Young Womens, Family Home Evening!
I haven't spent a lot of time yet for the other weeks, but I will share more ideas here as I work on them!

Family Mission Statement & poppies
I am really far behind on posting projects I have done recently (there are a TON), but I wanted to share a sneak peek of a FAMILY MISSION STATEMENT I have been working on.
I just love the colors, the poppies, everything! I am trying to figure out what words to put on it for our own home!

**NEW** Stand in Holy Places design
I know it seems like the year is almost over, and soon, the LDS youth will have a new theme for the 2014 year (I am working on designs as we speak, so keep checking back for those!), but I was inspired by Sister Beck's talk in the General Young Women's meeting in the spring where she talked about standing and being not moved!
There are still lots of Mutual activities, Nights of Excellence, and Sunday meetings left in the year, so hopefully you will find a great use for this 8x10 print!
I designed a version of this print for a girls camp in the summer, and decided to rework it a little bit to put in my shop. It is available as an instant download in all five colors.

FREE PRINTABLE! Book of Mormon 65 day reading challenge - LDS Young Women
Oh have I got a fun freebie for you!
My sister asked me to make a poster for a challenge that her Young Women's group is doing. They are going to read the Book of Mormon in 65 days!
Did you know that it took Joseph Smith about 65 days to translate the Book of Mormon? I learned that while I was serving my mission. We did a mission wide challenge to read the entire Book of Mormon in that amount of time. It was hard, but it was amazing! I noticed things in the stories that I hadn't noticed before... I realized how people talked about in the beginning of the book related to people at the end... I just loved reading it that quickly! It was a really neat challenge and I am so excited that Young Women groups are taking the challenge as well!
I have an 11x14 and an 8x10 sized poster available for you to download, as well as a bookmark (in an Excel file). The bookmark was done by Karen, the sweet Young Women's president in my sister's ward. Thank you Karen!! She is also the one who came up with the the wording on the posters. :)
There is space on the sides for the Young Women and leaders to sign their name to the challenge. You can also fill in the dates of your challenge (If you get it printed on photo paper, I would suggest using a fine tip Sharpie marker to write on it to prevent smearing and smudging). On the bookmark, you will need to changed the dates to the dates of your challenge too.

8x10 poster
Bookmark file (make sure to change the dates to the dates of your challenge. Also, there are 3 bookmarks to a page - print page 1 and 2 on the front and back of the same piece of paper or cardstock, then cut out for a bookmark to keep in your scriptures!) (TECHNICAL STUFF: After clicking the bookmark file link, download it to your computer, then open it in Excel and change it. If you don't have Excel, you can upload it (after you have downloaded it) into a Google drive account and edit it in Google Sheets. Good luck! I hope that helps!)
Thanks for sharing, pinning, and enjoying!
(PS - A lot of people search etsy for Young Women ideas, so I am putting this in my etsy shop for $1, to help cover the fees from etsy, paypal, cost of fonts, etc. You are very welcome to download it completely free here, but not everyone who finds me on etsy comes to my blog. :) )

Little girl nursery art
I just listed these in my etsy shop. They were custom designs for a sweet lady who has twin daughters. She said the girls are fraternal and SO different from each other, and each design fits one perfectly. :)

August 2013 Visiting Teaching Message
Well, I am accepting the fact that no matter how good my intentions are, I simply cannot get my visiting teaching printable (or my visiting teaching, for that matter) done by the first of the month. :) I really do love how this one turned out though! It just sings of summer and all the things I love about this time of year.
I hope you enjoy taking this to the sisters you visit - my goal in doing this free printable each month is to give sisters around the world a cute handout with the monthly message on it, so it can be pinned on the fridge or used as a bookmark and read again and again, imprinting the message in minds and hearts.
Thanks for sharing, printing, pinning and enjoying!
This one that is doubled up will print out two copies on one piece of paper. The single above will print out in an 8.5x11 size.
