Kindness...

Lately, I have been thinking a LOT about kindness and how important it is to be kind, to everyone, no matter who it is.
As I was working on projects a bit ago, I came across some notes I had
made last year, preparing for a talk I gave at church. The subject was
using kind words.

Kindness to people who have hurt them, kindness to people who probably don't deserve it, kindness to people they love, kindness to everyone they cross paths with.
This is something I am working on. I do better some days than others... I am working on it though. I want my children to be able to learn kindness from me. Someday, when I have passed from this life, I hope it will be said of me that I was kind.
In the notes from my old talk, I found some beautiful quotes. I made some of them into free printables for you (8x10 size, link to download a high resolution version, suitable for printing is beneath each one).
A few other thoughts and quotes that I had jotted down:
Kind thoughts are the beginning of kind words and actions.
From Roald Dahl: "A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick out teeth but if you have good thoughts, they will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely."
View your life with KINDSIGHT -- stop beating yourself up. Instead of slapping your forehead and asking: "what was I thinking?" -- breathe and ask yourself the kinder question, "what was I learning?" (I found this on a blog,
here)
I hope they help each of us remember to be a little kinder, to be a
little more forgiving, to be a little quicker to give the benefit of the
doubt to someone, to be a little more like our Savior Jesus Christ.
