My family and I just spent a week up in beautiful Star Valley Wyoming. I
grew up there, but I totally didn't appreciate the beautifulness that
surrounded me. Now, having been gone from there for a LOT of years (I
just realized if my graduating class does a 15 year reunion, it will be
next year!WHAT?!?!), and living in the dry sagebrushy desert of southern
and central Utah, I miss it, and every time I go home, I am amazed at
the little piece of heaven that lies between those mountains!
While there, I got to take pictures of my niece, Liz. She is turning 8
in a couple of weeks, and needed some portraits taken in her baptism
dress. Her extremely talented mom (with some help from our mom) sewed
it. (if you want to learn more about baptism and the LDS faith, click here)
Her big dream was to have a picture recreating the "Three White Dresses" poem (blessing dress, baptism dress, and wedding/temple dress). This is what we came up with. I love it!
